Lead Consultant
Holly Flinkman, EMBA, CPHR, is the CEO and Lead Consultant of Emerald HR Solutions, a British Columbia–based human resources and workplace safety consulting firm founded in 2007 with services across Canada. With more than 25 years of experience in business management, human resources, and occupational health and safety, and more than 15 years in HR consulting. Holly helps organizations navigate complex people, workplace, and compliance challenges with clarity and confidence.
Her experience spans municipalities and other public-sector organizations, health care, construction and the trades, travel and tourism, oil and gas, retail, non-profit organizations, private businesses, and entrepreneurs. This breadth gives her a practical understanding of the governance, labour-relations, safety, operational, and cultural realities that shape effective workplaces.
As an experienced workplace investigator, Holly handles sensitive and complex matters involving bullying and harassment, misconduct, workplace violence and safety, staff conflict, attendance and performance, policy and compliance, and other concerns requiring neutral fact-finding. Her approach is impartial, thorough, and grounded in sound judgment, clear communication, and practical recommendations. She brings strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC requirements, the Canada Labour Code, and employment legislation across Canada, and is affiliated with the Association of Workplace Investigators and Canadian Private Investigators.
Through Emerald HR Solutions, Holly and her team provide comprehensive HR and occupational health and safety support, including employee relations, respectful workplace practices, organizational development, HR and safety systems, policy and compliance guidance, workplace mental health and wellbeing, training, succession planning, and AI needs assessment and integration support.
